Museum features anniversary of Seattle World’s Fair

The Woodinville Heritage Society will pay tribute to the 50th anniversary of the Seattle World’s Fair during a public program on Saturday, Oct. 20, at 10 a.m. at the Sammamish Valley Grange. The program will feature authors Allen Stein and Paula Becker commemorating the 50th anniversary of the 1962 Seattle World’s Fair. The pair will touch on World’s Fair highlights and the closing of Seattle’s seminal event in October, 1962. The pair will use costumes, slides and materials from the Fair. The Oct. 20 event is one of the free monthly programs presented by the Woodinville Heritage Society for its members and the general public. The grange is located just north of the Hollywood Schoolhouse at NE 146th Street and 140th Avenue NE.

The Woodinville Heritage Museum is housed in the pioneer DeYoung house at 14121 NE 171st St. and operated by the Heritage Society.
