Used book sale and $1 bag sale returns

  • Written by Woodinville Weekly Staff

It’s time again to find great deals on great reading at the annual fall used book sale at Woodinville Library.  You’ll find a wide variety of nonfiction for all ages and interests, children’s books, best-seller and classic fiction titles, paperback fiction and special holiday books. Most prices are $1 and less.

A preview sale for members of Friends of the Woodinville Library is on Friday, Oct. 12, from 4-5:30 p.m. FWL memberships for 2012 ($5) are available in advance at the library and on the day of the sale. Family memberships are $10, and a lifetime membership (join once!) is $65.

The used book sale is open to the public on Saturday, Oct. 13, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Please note the following change from previous sales: The doors will close at 1 and re-open at 1:30 for an hour-long bag sale, when a grocery bag of books of your choice is just $1. A limited supply of bags will be available; please help us by bringing your own bags.

FWL uses proceeds from used book sales to support literacy programs at the Woodinville Library, including summer reading programs for children,  incentives, Story Time supplies, family music performances and adult programs. In addition to the large weekend book sales, FWL provides an ongoing sale of quality used books in the lobby of the library, from books donated by the community. Woodinville Library is located at 17105 Avondale Road NE, Woodinville. Call (425) 788-0733 or visit www.kcls.org/events/book_sales for info.
