Chefs Sophie and Eric Banh, along with bar manager, Jon Christiansen, welcome Orlin Sorensen of Woodinville Whiskey Co. to Monsoon East (10245 Main Street in Bellevue) on November 5.
Sorensen, co-founder and distiller at Woodinville Whiskey, will join guests at the dinner to talk whiskey and distilling. The multi-course dinner features creative cocktails made using Woodinville Whiskey that perfectly complements the Banh’s innovative take on modern Vietnamese food.
Christiansen will serve The Green Monster made with Woodinville’s White Dog Whiskey, Green Chartreuse, Lime, and Thai Basil and Angels Share made with barrel aged White Dog Whiskey, Orchard Pear Liqueur, Dolin Blanc, and Rhubarb Bitters.
A sampling of Woodinville’s handcrafted bourbon and rye whiskey will also be served.
Dinner begins at 6 p.m. and cost is $80/person plus tax and gratuity. Seating is limited and reservations are required.

• Painted Hills Beef Stew with carrots and egg noodles
• Vietnamese Chicken Wings with roasted chili and fish sauce
• Roasted Carlton Farms Pork Belly with chao sauce
• Duck Leg Confit with five-spice and daikon cake
• Cassava Cake with roasted Bosc pear
