This photograph by Woodinville Weekly staff reporter and travel writer Deborah Stone recently was named Americas Photo of the Week (www.WayBeyondBorders.com/americaphotoweek).
The website reported that “Stone snapped this winner while on a jaunt to Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. The lighthouse, the rocks, the sky, the scene ... what more needs to be said? Vancouver and surrounding areas have a great maritime tradition, and scenes like this, while sometimes lost in the great metropolis that sprawls through the lower mainland, are gems indeed!”
Stone has traveled throughout the world, and you can follow her adventures in The Woodinville Weekly.
“I have always had a passion for exploring new places, learning about various cultures and engaging with people from all walks of life,” she said. “ As a travel writer, I take pleasure in interpreting destinations and sharing my experiences with others in the hopes that they will be encouraged to view the world around them from a different angle.”
