Tuesday was troubling for some early commuters and a busy morning for municipal services in Woodinville’s north end.

A motorhome caught fire in a driveway of the 24100 block of 85th Ave. SE near Leota Junior High School and Crystal Lake.

The motorhome was parked and winterized under a shelter structure for the season. The fire was extinguished by crews from Snohomish Fire District 7 and Woodinville Fire & Rescue.

According to WF&R Community Services Officer David Weed, the motorhome was a complete loss. The Snohomish County fire marshal is investigating the cause of the blaze.

Shortly after the fire, less than a mile away, a Waste Management truck apparently knocked down some telephone lines along the 19000 block of Woodinville-Duvall Road, closing the busy road in one direction for Puget Sound Energy repairs and snarling traffic for several hours.

No residents lost power in the incident, it was reported.
