The smell of home-baked goodies wafted from the old Duvall Library, much like it did back in the 30’s, when the librarian’s job description included serving coffee and cinnamon rolls to library patrons. The source of the delicious smell recently was the Duvall Civic Club’s annual Santa Sale-abration, which combined a bake sale with Santa photos and a craft bazaar.

Kids left their Christmas wishes in Santa’s mailbox, then created special ornaments in a craft area coordinated by the Northwest Art Center while moms and dads shopped from artisan booths offering handmade apparel, glasswork, jewelry, candles and more.

“It was our best Santa Sale ever,” stated Judi Chapman, Civic Club president. “The extra funds we raised at this event will come in handy this year as we’ve increased our two annual high school scholarships to $750 each, so we’re just thrilled.”

The event took place on December 1st in the old library building.
