Everything’s rosy at Molbak’s

Spring is on the way and it’s time to think about roses!  Molbak’s is celebrating these stunning beauties with three free special events February 16 -17.

First up is Nita-Jo Rountree, Past President Northwest Horticulture Society and frequent radio guest on Gardening with Ciscoe.

Rountree will present Welcoming Roses into Your Garden on Saturday, 10  – 11 a.m.  She will share how to creatively incorporate roses into mixed garden beds and landscapes.

Rountree will be followed by Rose Pruning Basics from noon to  1 p.m. by John Harmeling, American Rose Society Master Rosarian and Molbak’s plant expert.

Attendees will learn the importance of proper pruning techniques and how to prune a variety of roses to increase flower production and discourage diseases.

Members of the Seattle Rose Society will be onsite Saturday and Sunday, 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. answering questions about growing and caring for roses.

Members will also be available to assist customers in selecting the best rose for their garden.  This is a great opportunity to have rose questions answered by knowledgeable and enthusiastic experts in an informal setting.
