STRANGERS IN THE NIGHT

A man returned home to find two mysterious gentlemen on his couch using his Xbox. The outraged householder made his displeasure known to the gamers, who left the premises. They did not, however, depart empty-handed; the duo took a laptop with them as a souvenir.


IS NOTHING SACRED?

Amid this week’s catalytic converter thefts, so commonplace now, a metal seeker took his salvage efforts to a new low, damaging a bronze sculpture of a heron in a church garden in his attempt to possess and repurpose it. Happily though, it appears the heron was able to stand his ground despite the wounds suffered.


FOUND THEN LOST

A woman reported that a vehicle had been abandoned in front of her mailbox, a vehicle that, as it turned out, had recently been spirited away from a locale in Snohomish County. By coincidence, another car in her neighborhood was stolen near the time of the first vehicle’s appearance.
