WOODINVILLE — Starting March 18, Woodinville will require an electronic version of submitted plans and documents in addition to the hard copy submittal requirements that are currently in place.
For permits that require review, any document, plan or report that is required to be submitted will need to be submitted as a PDF and delivered to the city on a disk or flash drive. Some permits, including right-of-way permits, fire permits and tree removal permits, are excluded from this requirement, so be sure to visit the city’s webpage at www.ci.woodinville.wa.us/Work/PermitForms.asp for specifics.
The changes are designed as a phased program to switch all permits to electronic submittal by the end of 2013. Electronic permitting reduces permitting time, improves customer service and staff efficiency, standardizes building site information, and improves record keeping and reliable archiving. If you have any questions or concerns regarding this new requirement, please contact the Woodinville Permit Center at (425) 489-2754 (press 4 to reach a permit technician) or email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
