Ted Christensen, Northshore School District music program coordinator and Inglemoor High School instrumental music instructor, will be inducted into the Washington Interscholastic Activities Association (WIAA) Hall of Fame in the Fine Arts Category at the WIAA induction ceremony, May 8, in Renton, Wash.

Inglemoor’s orchestra director Jim Rice nominated him for the honor.

“Ted has built and maintained a legacy of excellence over his 30-year tenure at Inglemoor High School that is admired throughout the northwest,” stated Rice. “He is recognized as one of our Northwest’s preeminent and successful band directors as well as a mentor to many teachers in our profession.”

The WIAA Hall of Fame recognizes, preserves and promotes the heritage of interscholastic activities in Washington state and honors the contributions and accomplishments of individuals who are worthy of statewide recognition as examples of others to emulate.
