The Northshore Schools Foundation (NSF) has announced that Spence Lane will be the student speaker for the Annual Light A Fire for Learning Luncheon March 28 at the Lynnwood Convention Center.Lane, a junior at Inglemoor High School, thrives in the interactive learning environment that is a trademark of the Northshore School District’s Sustainable Engineering & Design Course, offered as a part of Northshore School District’s Career and Technical Education program.
“This class has inspired me to pursue sustainable design for my future,” Lane said.
Lane joins other speakers, including Seattle Foundation CEO Norman Rice, Puget Sound Energy’s Andy Wappler and Cascadia Community College President Dr. Eric Murray who will speak to the importance of insuring that K-12 students graduate career and college ready with a skill set to support the job demand of the future.
