|Homeward SPRINGS for free Microchips|
|Written by Woodinville Weekly Staff|
For two days only (Friday and Saturday, April 12-13, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.), get your cat or dog microchipped for free at the Homeward Pet Dunmire Veterinary Clinic (13132 NE 177th Pl., Woodinville).
This offer is good only while supplies last! All animals brought in for microchipping must be spayed or neutered.
Homeward Pet Adoption Center wants your pet to have the best form of identification available.
A microchip is a permanent form of ID that can never be separated from your pet, and your pet’s best chance of being returned home safely should he ever become lost. It is smaller than a grain of rice and is injected under the animal’s skin between the shoulder blades.
Each chip has a unique number and is registered in a national database with the owner’s name, address and contact information.Homeward Pet will include free registration of each microchip during this two-day event.
Many happy reunions result from the use of microchips and proper registration! For example, a local family found a stray cat that had set up house under their porch. Once they were able to catch her and bring her in, Homeward Pet was able to scan for a microchip, revealing her family was not far away. Bella’s family had been looking for her for months and was so relieved to know she was safe and coming home.
