‘Spring into Gardening’

  • Written by Woodinville Weekly Staff

The 18th annual Sno-Valley Plant and Garden Art Sale will be held Friday and Saturday, May 3-4, from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. at Remlinger Farms, 32610 NE 32nd Street in Carnation. This sale features thousands of annuals, perennials, shrubs, vegetables and herbs, as well as garden art and a cafe.

Many of the vegetables are donated by Snoqualmie Valley growers who specialize in what’s best for our location. Master Gardeners will be on hand to answer gardening questions and assist with color selections. Local artisans will sell hand-crafted garden art.

You can take a break from plant shopping at the Garden Café which will feature lattes, hot dogs, chili, fruit and beverages. Rain or shine, shoppers will browse in the comfort of enclosed and covered spaces.

To get a head start, make reservations to the popular “First Picks” Garden Party on Thursday, May 2, from 6-8 p.m. For $25 ($20 each for groups of 8 or more) you will enjoy wine, music, delicious hors d’oeuvres and have first pick on all the items for sale.

A silent auction during the party will feature garden-related items. Deadline to reserve tickets for the First Picks event is April 26.

Beautiful sun or shade hanging baskets are still available to order. For more plant sale information, to reserve First Picks Party tickets or to order a hanging basket, go to or call (425) 333-4152.

Proceeds from the sale benefit the programs of the Sno-Valley Senior Center in Carnation.
