Obit BelardeRosemary Belarde 81, long time Woodinville resident passed away on Saturday, June 8th, 2013 at Evergreen Memorial Hospital, Kirkland, Wash.She was born on March 7th, 1932, in Glendive, Montana. Her family later moved to Seattle where she met and married the love of her life, John J. Belarde.The young couple moved to Anchorage, Alaska, in 1954, where they raised their three children.  Rosemary was one of the first women in Alaska to receive a certificate of cosmetology and owned/operated the Northern Lights Beauty Salon for many years. They moved back to Washington in 1988 and their children and their families followed.

She is survived by her husband, John, daughter LeeAnn, son John F and his wife Sandy, son Steven W and his wife Leighann, seven grandchildren; Sierra, Johnna, Breanna, Jessica, Joseph, Kristina and two great grandsons, Chance and Colton.Rosemary loved music, dancing, was an accomplished cook, loved to entertain and loved to have her family around her.

She was preceded in death by her parents; Frank E. and Wilhelmina Frohlich, her brothers, George and Frank, and her beloved sister Josephine Norris of Sequim.

The funeral will be held June 21 at 11a.m. at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church at 630 7th Ave. N in Edmonds.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Rosemary Belarde to the Alzheimer’s Association and/or to Breast Cancer Funds.
