After 57 years of educating preschool through 8th grade students, Monroe Christian School announced that they will be adding a high school to their existing school. The initial expansion will be open to freshmen and sophomore students in September 2013, with the expansion continuing the following year. In addition to the state-mandated curriculum, there will be specific Monroe Christian High School graduation requirements, such as a course in personal finance and a world language.  The school will offer a wide selection of elective options such as JAVA Programming, Veterinary Science: The Care of Animals, and International Business: Global Commerce in the 21st Century.  Advanced Placement courses are also available.
