A benefit show featuring talented young hip-hop artists and musicians is slated for July 26 at Tony V’s Garage in Everett.
A large portion of the proceeds will benefit Cocoon House, a nonprofit agency and shelter serving homeless and at-risk teens in Snohomish County. The agency plans to use the show’s proceeds to donate school supplies to the youths they serve.
The headline performer will be Dyllyn Greenwood. Also performing are Pseudo Stars, Feenon, Suede & Eddy K, and King RoD. Tickets for the show, which begins at 8 p.m., will be $10 at the door or free for those bringing a new backpack to donate. Tony V’s Garage is located at 1712 Hewitt Ave. in Everett. The event is limited to ages 21 and up.
In addition to the concert, $5 tickets will be sold for a raffle at the end of the evening with a $100 cash prize. All proceeds from the raffle ticket sales will benefit Cocoon House.
Sheena Wood of HollyWood Productions & Promotions, who is in charge of the event, said, "We were looking for a way to give back to the community. We all know one of the hardest things to do for a homeless teenager is to stay in school. HollyWood Productions & Promotions wants to do their part to help them stay in school."
