What better way to celebrate Bastille Day than to combine great French cuisine with French styled wines?
That’s what Le Petit Terroir and the William Church Winery and Lachini Vineyards Tasting Rooms will be doing from noon to 7 p.m. on Sunday, July 14.
Le Petit Terroir’s chef Jason Custer will be out in front of the Parisian-styled bistro, located just around the corner in the same building as the two wineries’ tasting rooms, serving up sweet and savory crêpes, steak frites, and more from their summer menu.
Meanwhile, William Church and Lachini will be offering specially priced pours of their French styled wines.
Lachini will offer a pinot noir from Oregon’s Willamette Valley done in a Burgandian style and a pinot noir rosé to complement the bistro’s fare.
William Church’s Bordeaux style Sur La Mer and their viognier, along with their other offerings will be available at a special Bastille Day price per pour.
Le Petit Terroir’s owners Dave and Karin Shoup will have classical, traditional French music playing and offer attendees the opportunity to play petanque, a French-style bocce ball tournament game.
"I lived in France for five years in the 1980s, so working with William Church and Lachini, who both have French styled wines, was the perfect fit to celebrate Bastille Day," said Karin Shoup. The Shoups hope to make this an annual event.
Le Petit Terroir and the William Church Winery and Lachini Vineyards Tasting Rooms are located at 14455 Woodinville Redmond Rd. NE in the Hollywood Vineyard Shopping Center.
