Mobile home fire in Bothell

Mobile Home Fire 0823Photo courtesy of Bothell Fire and E.M.S. Area fire departments responded to a mobile home fire July 1 in Bothell. The home and two cars were total losses.

BOTHELL — On July 1 at 1:14 p.m., crews from the Bothell Fire and E.M.S., Shoreline Fire Department, Woodinville Fire & Rescue, Northshore Fire Department and Kirkland Fire Department responded to a mobile home park fire located on NE Woodinville Drive in Bothell. Upon arrival, firefighters found heavy smoke and flames coming from the mobile home.The homeowner evacuated safely out of the home and called 9-1-1. The homeowner reported there to be several birds and turtles inside the structure at the time of the fire. The mobile home and the two cars in the driveway are a complete loss.Additional manpower was needed due to the high temperatures outside. Firefighters are at much higher risk of heat exhaustion and dehydration with the temperature in the high 80s as it was that day. There were no injuries to firefighters to report at this time.The Red Cross was called in to assist the family. The City of Bothell Fire Marshal’s Office is currently investigating the cause.
