On Saturday and Sunday, July 20-21, plan to attend the annual SandBlast Festival of the Arts at McCormick Park in Duvall.
This year’s “SandTennial” pays homage to Duvall’s Centennial Celebration and features many endeavors into the arts in addition to the professionally-directed, interactive sand sculpting.
Presenting live, local music has always been a key element of the SandBlast Festival.
Saturday, July 20th performances:
- Peter Ali at noon
- Honky Tonk Sweethearts at 12:20 p.m.
- Rick Ravenscrosft Trio at 1:30 p.m.
- The Poindexters at 2:30 p.m.
- Jeff Hass at 3:30 p.m.
- BOWI at 4:10 p.m.
- Noisy Neighbors at 5 p.m.
From 7-9 p.m., Cascade Community Theatre’s original adaptation of The Tempest, by William Shakespeare, adapted by Davin Henrikson, will be presented.
Sunday, July 21st performances:
- That’s Cashed at noon
- Fred Francis Trio at 1:10 p.m.
- Cool Water at 2:20 p.m.
- Susan Burke Band at 3:30 p.m.
- Kate Phillips & Americana Soul at 4:40 p.m.
- Peter Ali at 5:40 p.m.
Festival hours are noon to 6 p.m.
On Saturday, at 11:30 a.m., before SandBlast opening ceremonies, there will be an unveiling of an installation by artist Ken Turner, one of the artists exclusively selected to install a sculptural interpretation honoring Duvall’s Centennial.
