Are you new to cooking? Do you have a tight schedule? Not sure how to be creative in a small kitchen?
The "First Apartment Cooking" class held in the 21 Acres Kitchen, Tuesday evening, August 27th, was created just for you.
Instructor and recent college graduate, Chelsea Gabrielle, will teach cooking basics and provide simple solutions whether you’re a busy student or a young professional.
Gabrielle will share recipes that are easy to put together to help keep you at the top of your game during finals week or when it’s time to make a presentation or turn in a report.
Class includes basic cooking skills and simple recipe ideas with demonstrations, discussion and time for Q & A.
Also coming up on the 21 Acres culinary calendar is Chef Emily Moore’s "Smoking Farm Raised Meats."
Focusing on outdoor grilling techniques, this class, held on the 21 Acres Farm, Saturday morning August 24th, brings together the combination of smoking meats with fresh-picked farm produce into a Northwest inspired pizza — all cooked outside in the wood-fired oven.
Interested students may enroll and register one of three ways: 21acres.org/school; phone: (425) 481-1500; or e-mail: email@example.com. Space fills quickly, class size is limited.
Fee for "First Apartment Cooking" is $20. Fee for "Smoked Meats" is $49, $39 for 21 Acres members. As a special offer, all 21 Acres students receive a discount in the 21 Acres Farm Market the week after class.
