The Woodinville Water District has selected two candidates to interview out of the 10 candidates who applied for an open commissioner position.
The Board of Commissioners will interview Pao-Tsun "Paj" Hwang and Tyler Norwood at a special meeting on August 27 at 2 p.m.
Karen Steeb, the president of the Board of Commissioners, said each current board member named their top three choices for the position. Hwang and Norwood were the only candidates selected by all four commissioners.
The new commissioner will fill the position of Ken Goodwin, who resigned in July because he was moving to Anacortes.
The other candidates who applied were William Bogdan, Jim Dunlap, William Guenzler, Alan Keefe, Dale Knapinski, Michael Lucarelli, Timothy Schriever and Henry "Hank" Stecker.
Dunlap, Hwang, Lucarelli and Stecker also applied to the Board of Commissioners earlier this year. That position, vacated by Tim Matson, went to Rick Chatterton.
