A project to replace a decaying old timber bridge on the Snoqualmie Valley Trail in North Bend is completed, and the new steel span has opened for public use.
The old timber bridge that once carried a railroad line and then the trail over a wetland near downtown North Bend has been removed and replaced with a single-span steel girder bridge.
The total project cost slightly less than $300,000.
