This summer Woodinville Family Preschool achieved re-accreditation through the National Association for the Education of Young Children(NAEYC).
Initially accredited in 2008, this re-accreditation was earned through the continued rigorous application and documentation of academic and business standards set forth by NAEYC.
, a Woodinville resident, won the Cascade Award for her entry, "Into the Fire," in the Unpublished/Young Adult category, August 14 at the Oregon Christian Writers Summer Conference held at Portland’s Jantzen Beach Red Lion Hotel.
The contest received more than 138 entries.

A collaboration between Chef Brian Scheehser of Trellis, a wine country-inspired restaurant that celebrates small scale, artisan products at the height of their seasonality, and master cheesemaker Blain Hages of Cherry Valley Diary has culminated in an honor from the American Cheese Society (ACS).
The pair won second place in the 2013 ACS Judging & Competition in the category of Monterey jack with flavor added (all milks) for their carrot-nasturtium reserve.
Scheehser and Hages both use produce and herbs grown on Scheehser’s Woodinville farm, while Cherry Valley Dairy in Duvall, Wash., provides the milk and facilities for the collaborative effort, the first of its kind for the dairy.
