Motorists should prepare for potential traffic delays
WOODINVILLE — The City of Woodinville will be undertaking its annual pavement overlay project during the month of September on 140th Avenue NE from NE 171st Street to NE 181st Street.
Most of the work will occur at night from 8 p.m. – 6 a.m. Some work will be conducted during the day. While at least one lane in either direction will remain open to through traffic, motorists should expect some delays.
The work is scheduled to conclude at the end of October.
Weather may impact the timing of various tasks on the project.
The city repaves select city roads each year as part of its Capital Improvement Program.
City staff evaluate every road for its pavement condition and determine which roads to overlay each year based on several deterioration factors. In 2013, the city will be repaving 140th Avenue NE and NE Woodinville-Duvall Road from 140th Avenue NE to NE North Woodinville Way.
In the past seven years, the city has repaved nearly 30 lane miles of city streets.
