WHS students go to Boys, Girls State

Left to right; Charles Mehrmann, Dalton Mann, Jacob Yee, Tanya Kumai, Isabella SportelliFive students from Woodinville High School attended the American Legion Boys & Girls State program for a week on campus at Central Washington University in Ellensburg this past July.

They were sponsored by Bothell Post 127 and the Ladies Auxiliary. In this well- regarded national program the students learn about how our form of goverment operates.

They do this by a "hands-on" approach.

They each aspire to hold an elected office at city, county and state level. The highest elected office is that of governer.

Boys attending were Charles Mehrmann, Jacob Yee and Dalton Mann. It is to be noted that Dalton had the honor to be selected to attend a week at Boys Nation in Washington,  D.C., in July.

Girls attending were Tanya Kumai and Isabella Sportelli.
