‘Ecotober’ comes to Brightwater

Fall begins at Brightwater with "Ecotober," a month-long sustainability series with events that highlight fun and learning for the whole family.

Brightwater Center is located at 22505 State Route 9 S.E. in Woodinville.

Events are free and children accompanied by an adult are welcome.

Seasonal Edible Garden Workshops, Wednesday, Oct. 9, 5:30-7:30 p.m.

Create an edible garden with expert tips from Emily Bishton. Register online at (Ages 12 and up)

Recycling: An Insider’s Look! Wednesday, Oct. 16, 5:30-7:30 p.m.

Get an up-close look at the Cascade Recycling Center through a guided tour. Meet at the Cascade Recycling Center, 14020 N.E. 190th St., Woodinville. Register online at (Ages 12 and up)

Eco Movie Night, Wednesday, Oct. 23, 5:30-7:30 p.m.

Join us for some popcorn and a showing of "Tapped the Movie" and a premiere of "Part of the Cycle." Register online at (Ages 12 and up)

Ask the Experts, Wednesday, Oct. 30, 5:30-7:30 p.m.

Reduce your carbon footprint with sustainability tips from water, energy and transportation experts. Register online at (Ages 12 and up)
