The City of Woodinville is offering two grant-funding opportunities to eligible non-profits, businesses and governmental organizations serving the Woodinville community.

One grant focuses on providing funds for community organizations that serve Woodinville, and the other provides funding for tourism promotion of Woodinville.

The Tourism Promotion Grant has a total of $46,000 available for the 2014 budget year.

Funding will be provided for activities and expenditures designed to increase tourism as outlined by the Revised Code of Washington (RCW) 67.28.

The Community Funding Grant has a total of $5,000 available for the 2014 budget year.

The maximum-awarded amount to a single entry will be $2,500. Funding is provided for non-profits or government organizations that provide annual or one-time events or programs that are generally free to the public and benefit Woodinville citizens.

Grant funding will be awarded based on the applicant’s demonstration of how their program or project benefits the Woodinville community, furthers the city’s goals and image, and is of general community interest or value, among other criteria.

Applications are available on the city’s website at, or by calling the city at (425) 489-2700. Applications are due by Friday, December 27, at 4 p.m.

Grants are expected to be awarded in February 2014.
