During last Friday’s Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony, the Duvall Depot was the perfect (and warmest) place for Rich Andrews, producer of "Spirit of Duvall – the First 100 Years" to remind residents of the showing of the historic documentary the following night at the Riverview Education Center. Andrews, owner of A2 Film Productions, has been interviewing citizens and shooting footage for the last two years. Rich’s brother Gary wrote the script for the production. The showing was the grand finale of the centennial year which had been packed full of fun activities and events, thanks to the hard work of the volunteer Centennial Committee. The local musical group, the Poindexters, led by singer Denny Redman, opened the evening with a half-hour of classic songs. Redman also narrated the film. DVD’s of the film will be available for purchase at the Duvall Visitor and Centennial Center and other stores around town. Information on this and possible future showings will be on the Centennial website and Facebook page.
