Kirthi Kumar Kutumbaka
of Bothell is a recent graduate of Northern Illinois University (NIU). Kutumbaka graduated with a Ph.D. degree from the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. Woodinville resident Daniel Assumpcao, 16, was recently awarded a national research grant from Johns Hopkins Center for Talented Youth (CTY) to engineer a new type of keyboard for use by people who are visually impaired. Assumpcao, who is in the 11th grade at Eastside Catholic High School, joins four other young men and seven young women as winners of the inaugural CTY Cogito Research Awards for aspiring middle school and high school researchers.
Stephanie Banning
of Bothell, a member of the class of 2015 at Washington and Lee University, has earned dean’s list status for the recently ended winter term 2013.
Reeceann Cabaniero-Buendi
from Woodinville was named to the dean’s list at the University of New Haven for the fall 2013 semester.
Wheaton College student Jenise Clark of Mill Creek was named to the dean’s list for the fall 2013 semester. Clark is majoring in applied health science.
Marcus Quentin Harbol
of Bothell has been named to the dean’s list at The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina, for academic achievement during the fall semester of the 2013-2014 academic year.
Kevin Hakala
, son of Doug and Margie Hakala, became Airman First Class in the United States Air Force February 7th, 2014. Kevin graduated from Woodinville High School in 2010.

from Woodinville was named to the fall 2013 dean’s list at Wake Forest University.
With much hard work and determination, Claire Lee of Bothell graduated as a member of the 210th class from The University of Akron. Lee successfully completed the program requirements earning the Juris Doctor Law.
