Pet of the Week - Feb. 17, 2014

  • Written by Homeward Pet Adoption Center

Amber POWThis sassy, 11-pound tuxedo cat is looking for a home to call her own. Amber is a quiet, 4-year-old girl who has a beautiful long coat.

Amber has lived with other cats before and may do fine with new cats if given her own space and a slow introduction. She has never lived with kids though and can be nervous in new situations, so older kids and teens are recommended.

Amber is looking for a quiet and calm household that will allow her to adjust at her own pace. She loves to play and always keeps an eye out for a string or mouse toy to chase after. This independent girl is content entertaining herself with naps and window watching during the day. She would make a great candidate as a pet for an owner who works full time.

Come meet this pretty and playful girl at Homeward Pet! Amber will make someone a lovely and confident cat companion.

We are located at 13132 NE 177th Place in Woodinville and are open for visitors between noon and 6 p.m., Wednesday through Sunday.

February 2014 marks Homeward Pet’s 24th anniversary, celebrating another year as one of Washington’s leading no-kill shelters.

With your help, we are setting our sights on helping even more animals by collecting 240 donations of $24.

Donations of just $24 will help provide vaccinations, food, microchips, FeLV/FIV tests and more. Look for the thermometer on our website starting February 1, as we track life-saving donations all month long.
