Founded in 1934, Chateau Ste. Michelle pioneered vinifera grape growing in Washington state and has been producing classic European varietal wines under the Ste. Michelle label since 1967. The winery combines an ongoing dedication to research with a commitment to classic winemaking traditions.

The winery owns 3,500 acres of vineyards in the Columbia Valley of Eastern Washington, including Canoe Ridge Estate and Cold Creek. Chateau Ste.

Michelle enjoys winemaking partnerships with two of the world’s most distinguished vintners. Col Solare is an alliance with Tuscany’s Piero Antinori and Eroica Riesling is a partnership with the Mosel’s Ernst Loosen.

A love of wine drove Brett & Denise Isenhower to start Isenhower Cellars in 1999. The Woodinville Tasting Room was opened in 2009. Our goals are to make the best wines we possibly can, have the wines reflect the nature of the vineyards, and bring joy to our customer’s gatherings.

Sky River Meads Earn ‘Best in Class’, Gold & Bronze at the 2011 West Coast Wine Competition

Sky River Meadery, in the quiet town of Sultan WA, wins 3 impressive awards in the 2011 West Coast Wine Competition (WCWC). WCWC featured nearly 1100 entrants from the western United States; WA, OR, CA, HI, ID, NV, NM, MT, WY & CO, Baja California, New Zealand, Australia, South America & British Columbia. This is the 29th year of a competition whose mission is to award medals to outstanding wines. Robert Merletti, publisher of Vineyard & Winery Management, said "The quality of the entries was especially impressive this year, so any winery winning a medal should be truly proud". Sky River Mead won 3 of these medals.

Denice Ingalls, owner & winemaker of Sky River Meads response was "We couldn’t be happier, it’s an honor to be included on such a prestigious list of wines."

Judges included over 20 individuals ranging from sommeliers to restaurateurs & winemakers to wine writers representing a wide variety of preference and experience.

Sky River’s Semi-Sweet Mead was awarded a Gold medal, as well as, Best in Class. The Semi-Sweet is one of the true meads, meaning made completely from honey, created at Sky River Meads. A Bronze was also awarded to Sky River’s Raspberry Honey Wine, Sky River Meads newest offering.
