Christine Renee Mielenz and Tye Hanan Howell were married Aug. 29, 2008, at The Canal in Ballard. The bride’s attendants included Jennifer Mielenz Muhm, Katharine Hanson Freeman, and Emily Bonifaci. Groom’s attendants were Tyler Davis, Tiffany Howell, and Bryan Venn. Flower girl was Riley Cover and ring bearer was Connor Quigley.
Christine is the daughter of Michael and Cecile Mielenz of Woodinville. She is a 1999 graduate of Bishop Blanchet High School in Seattle and a 2003 graduate of Santa Clara University with degrees in psychology and English. Christine is a doctoral student in educational psychology at the University of Washington.
Tye is the son of Roger Howell, dearly remembered, and Marilyn Hanan-Hoover of Everett. He is a 1998 graduate of Jackson High School in Mill Creek. Tye graduated from the University of Washington with a degree in psychology and is currently pursuing an MBA degree at UW.
Christine and Tye met while working in research at the UW Autism Center.After the wedding, the couple moved to Zurich, Switzerland, where both are continuing their graduate studies until January 2009.
