Woodinville Historical Society celebrates 20 years of own history and seeks help
The Woodinville Historical Society celebrated 20 years of organization by honoring members and friends with a special dinner and program on Oct. 22 at Redhook Ale Brewery.
The Woodinville Community Band played and members told of Woodinville's history. People attending were able to tell their own stories. Awards were given to Senator Rosemary and Jim McAuliffe of the Hollywood School for historical preservation, Gladys Berry as the most dedicated volunteer in 1995 and Carol Edwards for historic contributions.
A temporary museum is in the planning stages. A current project involves the re-location of a historic Woodinville sawmill to storage. Volunteers and space are needed.
New members are encouraged to join. Meetings are held the third Thursday of every month.
