It's midnight--do you know where your firefighters are? This crew took part in a midnight auto extrication training exercise at Fitz Auto Parts, Inc. to simulate nighttime operations.
Fitz Auto Parts, Inc., recently donated several vehicles slated to be recycled to the Woodinville Fire and Life Safety District for training in auto extrication.
Fitz also allowed access to its facilities and personnel in the effort.
Fitz Auto Parts, located at 24000 Highway 9 in Woodinville, has been in business since 1930 and is now considered a leader in the recycled or "green" auto parts industry. The vehicles you see on the lot remain there only a short time before processing.
Fitz recycles parts and fluids from approximately 3,000 cars and trucks. This includes gasoline, engine oil, antifreeze, brake and transmission fluid, freon gas, window washing fluid, transaxle fluid, and lead acid batteries from each car.
Woodinville Fire and Life Safety District is again seeking donated vehicles to continue this training process. For more information on the recycling efforts at Fitz Auto Parts, Inc. or tax deductible donation of used cars or trucks, call 402-1311.
