food for pets The Humane Society is holding its ninth annual Holiday Pet Food Drive now through Dec. 31 at selected Fred Mayer, Safeway and QFC stores.
   The drive will help provide free pet food for companion animals of fixed-income seniors and people with HIV/AIDS.
   The Humane Society relies on the pet food drive to restock its Pet Food Bank. This year, more than 25 tons of pet food are needed to last through May. More than 650 senior citizens and 260 people with HIV/AIDS receive free pet food.
   The Pet Food Bank also welcomes cash donations and pet food coupons. These can be mailed to or dropped off at The Humane Society, 13212 SE Eastgate Way, Bellevue.
