Taproot brings 'A Christmas Carol' to the stage

Christmas Carol Bear Creek United Methodist Church will host Taproot Theatre's Road Company in a performance of Charles Dickens' classic "A Christmas Carol" Dec. 10, at 9:30 a.m. at Laura Ingalls Wilder Elementary School, 22130 NE 133rd, Woodinville (just east of the Bear Creek Country Club).
This stage adaptation by Kerry Jo Meads uses four actors playing multiple roles and the audience's imagination to bring Dickens' story to life.
The actors create the world of Victorian England, while telling the story of a man who has lost the joy of Christian charity.
Founded in 1976, Taproot Theater Company is a professional theatre active with church touring productions, a resident stage company, an acting studio and its annual Christmas Dinner Theatre.
TTC's Road Company tours to organizations within the Christian community and also tours a variety of plays to the area's public schools on issues such as conflict resolution, violence prevention, and teenage sexuality.
