Holiday traffic emphasis planned
Eighteen law enforcement agencies in King County will step up their traffic/DUI emphasis this holiday season.
State troopers will be on the highways from 8 p.m. until 4 a.m. on Dec. 8-9, 15-16, 22-23, and 29-31.
The State Patrol plans again to use the command post concept, where arrested drivers will be taken to central processing locations so troopers can be released to continue patrolling.
The Eastside DUI Task Force will also intensify its patrols over the weekends of Dec. 15-16, 22-23 and 29-31, from 8 p.m. until 4 a.m.
The task force will work in coordination with local enforcement agencies in Bothell, Redmond, Lake Forest Park, and King County.
