Sprinklers should be optional in single-family homes
This is a belated response to the Nov. 13th letter on requirements for fire sprinklers in Woodinville, from the Woodinville Fire and Life Safety District.
Serious problems on Mink Road need to be addressed
We have serious problems on Mink Road NE in unincorporated Woodinville. The posted speed limit of 35 mph is ignored and traffic often exceeds 60 mph.
County asked to stand up to developers
Last weekend, the State's Growth Management Hearings Board ruled that King County violated the Growth Management Act (GMA) in creating the Novelty Hill Urban Growth Area (UGA).
County has capacity to accommodate growth
The urban "island" proposed for the rural area between Redmond and Duvall was recently declared illegal by the state hearing board to adjudicate growth management disputes.
