Don't trash those leaves: Drop them in Kenmore

composting North King County residents, landscapers, and contractors now have a new place to drop their fall leaf collection, support composting, and even save some money.
Pacific Topsoil's new Kenmore site at 7500 N.E. 175th St., just off Lake City Way, will recycle clean yard debris and clean wood waste at a cost less than fees charged at King County Transfer Stations.
Brush, leaves, grass, and sod, plus lumber, pallets, crates, and unpainted and untreated wood are accepted for a $9.50 to $12.50/cubic yard charge, depending on the material.
Pacific Topsoils sells landscaping supplies, including topsoil blends, mulches, bark, compost, rock, and sands, as well as accepting yard debris and wood waste.
The Kenmore site is open Monday-Friday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Hours of operation and prices are subject to change, so customers are urged to call ahead to 485-0701.
