Redmond pedestrian struck by vehicle on Willows Road

injury accident Redmond police, fire and medic personnel responded to an accident at 6:47 a.m. Dec. 4, in the area of10500 Willows Rd., an industrial business area, in which a pedestrian was injured after being struck by a vehicle.
   The pedestrian, a 29-year-old Redmond woman, was transported to Harborview Hospital where she was listed in serious condition with multiple fractures of the lower extremities.
   According to witnesses and the driver of the vehicle, a 35-year-old Snohomish man, the vehicle was southbound on Willows Road in the 10500 block when it struck the pedestrian, who was crossing Willows from east to west.
   The pedestrian, who had just gotten off a Metro bus, was struck in the southbound lane of travel and thrown into the northbound lane.
   Preliminary investigation suggests that the pedestrian did not see the southbound vehicle and that due to darkness the pedestrian was very difficult to see, police said. Alcohol and speed are not factors in this accident.
   The Redmond Police Traffic Division is continuing to investigate the accident.
