Dragon roars at Science Center

Science Wonderland Faf the Techno-Dragon will be the center-piece for Science Wonderland, a holiday celebration at Pacific Science Center running Dec. 26 through Jan. 1, 1996.
Faf is a 15-foot, 3,500-pound mechanical stage dragon that breathes clouds of smoke (carbon dioxide) and shoots flames through its razor-tooth mouth and snapping jaws.
While the dragon's outside looks 19th century, the complex inside is pure 20th century, requiring two people to operate.
The 20-minute dragon presentation is held hourly from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Admission is free with paid admission to the Pacific Science Center. For more information, call 443-2001.
