Mustang raffle to raise money for WHS senior party

car raffle Woodinville High School seniors and their parents will be seen all over town this week raffling tickets to a new Mustang.
The drawing will be held Dec. 30 at the accounting firm of Miller Boltjes Whitsell and Co. and winner need not be present to win.
Tickets are $5 each. Purpose of the fundraising effort is to be able to put on a fun and safe party following graduation in June.
By tradition, the party lasts all night at a surprise location, well-chaperoned by senior parents, and is one last opportunity for the entire class to be together.
Although students purchase their own tickets to the party, raffle proceeds will be used to keep costs as low as possible and to provide funding for those unable to pay.
All seniors were urged to sell at least ten tickets. In addition, a small group of parents and seniors are selling tickets at the Woodinville Auto Auction and in front of Las Margaritas, Safeway, and Stock Market. Tickets are also available at R&G Auto Body and Sales at 195th and Woodinville Way.
"We want to thank those businesses for their cooperation," said Tyler Brown, senior class Vice President.
Tickets can also be purchased by phoning senior families, the Cosseys (483-5869), or the Gregsons (788-3065).
