giving tree In the weeks between Thanksgiving and Christmas, almost 400 gifts were placed under the "Giving Tree" at the Payless Drug Store in Woodinville Plaza.
The tree was decorated with ornaments carrying gift suggestions for Woodinville area kids, adults, and seniors, whose names were supplied by the Woodinville Chamber of Commerce.
Payless manager Ben Thomas explained that his store was just a means to a worthwhile end and credited the community with the overwhelming success of the holiday project.
"Woodinville is a great town, Thomas said. "The citizens did a really good job of taking care of their own."
