Drinks, desserts with the taste of cappuccino

Capucello Tiramisu and truffles.

Capucello recipes The makers of Capucello, a new "cappuccino" liqueur, offer these recipes for festive drinks and desserts.

Cap de Menth
   2 oz. Capucello
   2 oz. milk
   1/2 oz. creme de menthe
   Pour Capucello and creme de menthe over ice and stir.

Capucello dreamsicle
   4 oz. Capucello
   3 oz. orange juice
   2 scoops vanilla frozen yogurt or ice cream
   Blend ingredients in blender with a handful of crushed ice.

Capucello Tiramisu
   2 egg yolks
   2 Tbsp. sugar
   2 c. mascarpone cheese
   1 1/4 c. Capucello, divided
   Two 3-oz. packages ladyfingers
   2 Tbsp. cocoa powder
   Beat together egg yolks and sugar. Fold in mascarpone and 1/4 cup Capucello.
   Dip ladyfingers in remaining Capucello and arrange one layer in bottom of 10" x 7" rectangular pan. Add a layer of cheese mixture, a layer of ladyfingers, and top with cheese mixture. Dust with cocoa and refrigerate. Serves 8.

Capucello truffles
   2/3 c. heavy cream
   3 Tbsp. instant espresso granules
   Three 3-oz pkgs. mocha-flavored or semisweet chocolate, chopped
   4 Tbsp. butter, room temperature
   3 Tbsp. Capucello
   1/4 c. cocoa powder
   In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine cream and espresso granules. Bring to simmer. Remove from heat and whisk in chocolate and butter until mixture is smooth. Blend in Capucello. Transfer to a bowl. Cover and chill at least 4 hours. Roll into quarter-size balls. Just before serving, roll in cocoa powder. Makes about 16 truffles.
