Obituary: Roland D. Cranson
A memorial service honoring the life of Roland D. Cranson was held Dec. 22 in the chapel of Overlake Christian Church.
Mr. Cranson, 67, a resident of Kingsgate in Kirkland, died Dec. 19 at Evergreen Hospital. He was born Dec. 26, 1927 to Roland Dudley Cranson and Mildred Louise Entz in Buffalo, NY.
He was a certified professional safety engineer with Safeco and Unigard for 30 years. Following his retirement in 1989, Mr. Cranson enjoyed photography, fishing, and RV-ing with his wife of 45 years, Edna Lorraine.
Mr. Cranson was an active member of Overlake Christian Church who gave freely of his time and talents.
Besides his wife, Edna, he is survived by his son Donald Livingston Cranson of Kirkland; daughters Cheryl Ann, also of Kirkland, and Paula Jean and her husband Glen Peterson of Kobe, Japan; grandchildren, Jeremy Scott, Kristi Marie, Gregory Leland, and Josiah Glen.
