WHS sleepout for homeless surpasses student goal

WHS sleepout I would like to thank our community for their support of Woodinville High School's Winterfest.
The student leaders of Woodinville High School slept outside Stock Market to collect blankets, clothing, and money for those less fortunate. Our clothing and blanket donations were given to homeless teens at the University District Youth Center.
Because of the amazing support from the community, we were able to give above and beyond what we were hoping for. We filled many trucks with warm clothes and blankets.
The money we collected has been given to the Northshore Multi-Service Center. Our goal was to raise $1,100. We surpassed our goal, raising $1,360.28. This money will help families in our own community.
Once again I would like to say thank you to the students and faculty of W.H.S., community members, and the brave people who were willing to keep us company on the cold sidewalk all night long.
I would like to especially thank Officer Wardstrom, who was constantly checking up on us and keeping us safe.
