Stephen Pezzini of Woodinville died Dec. 17 after a 7-month battle with colon cancer.
Born in Pittsfield, MA, on Feb. 7, 1959, Mr. Pezzini moved with his wife Pierangela to Woodinville in Jan. of 1984.
He was a graduate of Edmonds Community College and was employed as an engineering technical aide by Boeing for 9 1/2 years. During that time, he was a team leader, trainer, and Council Rep for SPEEA.
In the mid to late '80s, Mr. Pezzini was part of two Woodinville incorporation attempts, serving as secretary during the 1989 effort.
He also served six years as PCO to Corwin Precinct, was president of the Sons of Italy Lodge in Bothell, and was a communicant of Holy Innocents Catholic Church in Duvall.
He is survived by his wife Pierangela, son Matthew, and his parents, brothers, and sisters.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances can be made to the Matthew Pezzini Trust Account at King County Credit Union, Woodinville Branch.
Graveside services were held Dec. 28 at Sunset Hills Memorial Park for Ray Schottler, 79. He died Dec. 25 at his home in Woodinville.
Mr. Schottler was born Dec. 8, 1916 in Colorado. He worked for the Boeing Co. in research and development for 40 years prior to his retirement in 1980.
Known as an avid sportsman, he enjoyed fishing and camping. He also liked working in his flower garden and found great joy in creating and building a gazebo and a waterfall. Mr. Schottler's memberships included the Elks, BPOE, Kirkland-Bellevue Chapter.
Survivors include his wife, Gloria A. Watters Schottler of Woodinville; daughter, Rebecca Robinson of Seattle; sister-in-law, Cherrie Schottler of Whittier, CA; niece, Shirley Sullivan of Portland, CT, and two grandchildren.
