Ms. Washington Pageant set
Applications are being accepted for the 1996 Ms. Washington USofA pageant, to be held at the Everett Theater March 2.
The pageant age range is 25 to 55, and marital status is not a criteria. There is no swimsuit or talent competition; aerobic wear is used as an alternative. Scoring consists of 50% interview, 25% aerobic wear, and 25% evening gown.
The winner will receive over $3,000 in cash and prizes and represent Washington State at the televised Ms. United States of America pageant held each year in Reno, Nevada.
The reigning Ms. Washington, Alayna Sharon-Hagen of Bothell, placed 4th runner-up at the national finals in 1995. She is the owner of the Northwest Fashion Institute, and her focus this year has been to work with teenagers on self-esteem.
Women ages 25 to 55 who are married, single, divorced, or widowed may apply by calling 455-2969 in Bellevue.
