Recreation programs in Redmond

    Redmond Parks and Recreation's winter programs include a "Children's Totem Pole Workshop" Jan. 29 at the Native Arts & Cultural Center. Children ages 7 to 12 will design, carve, and paint a model totem pole.
   "Just Horsin' Around" is a four-part series teaching 4- to 10-year-olds how to groom, saddle, and ride a Shetland pony.
   Children ages 2 to 5 can ride a pony at "My Little Pony," planned for Feb. 15 from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
   The "Parent/Child Pony Workshop" is designed for first-time riders, ages 4+, Feb. 8 and 29 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.
