Books needed for Humane Society fundraiser
The Humane Society & SPCA of Seattle/King County is now collecting books for their first annual book sale, Mar. 2-3 at St. Joseph's Church on Capitol Hill.
All proceeds from the book sale will benefit the non-profit shelter's Pet Project and Friends In Need (FIN) Fund.
The Pet Project helps pet owners with HIV/AIDS by providing free pet food delivery and other services such as grooming and veterinary care.
The FIN Fund assists with veterinary and emergency care for the pets of fixed-income seniors, people with HIV/AIDS, and others in need.
Along with books, the Humane Society will also sell CDs, tapes, and albums; videotapes; software; and magazines.
New and used books of any kind are welcome, including hardcover and paperbacks, novels, cookbooks, travel guides, text books, non-fiction, and children's books.
Thirty drop-off points are located throughout King County, including the Humane Society at 13212 SE Eastgate Way in Bellevue, and all King, Snohomish, and Pierce County MacPherson's, Inc. Realtors offices.
